मुस्कुराहट और आंसुओं के साथ बालिकाओं ने बालिका सशक्तिकरण अभियान को किया अलविदा

एनटीपीसी सीपत के आवासीय परिसर में एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड की नैगम सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व (CSR) पहल के अंतर्गत आयोजित बालिका सशक्तिकरण अभियान (GEM)-2026 का 13 जून 2026 को भावपूर्ण समापन हुआ। इस चार सप्ताह के पूर्ण आवासीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के अवसर पर परिसर का वातावरण भावनाओं से भरा रहा। अपनी बेटियों को लेने पहुंचे अभिभावकों के चेहरों पर गर्व और खुशी झलक रही थी, वहीं पिछले एक महीने से साथ रह रही बालिकाएं अपने साथियों और प्रशिक्षकों से विदा लेते समय भावुक नजर आईं।

समापन समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में संजय अग्रवाल, आईएएस, कलेक्टर, बिलासपुर उपस्थित रहे। उनका स्वागत विशिष्ट अतिथि स्वपन कुमार मंडल, परियोजना प्रमुख, एनटीपीसी सीपत ने किया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्ज्वलन से हुआ। इस अवसर पर बालिकाओं ने सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां, नाटक, समूह गीत एवं अन्य प्रस्तुतियों के माध्यम से प्रशिक्षण अवधि के दौरान अर्जित अपने अनुभव, आत्मविश्वास और प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया। साथ ही प्रदर्शनी के माध्यम से सीखी गई विभिन्न कलाओं को भी साझा किया।

अपने संबोधन में  संजय अग्रवाल ने बालिका सशक्तिकरण अभियान की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि शिक्षा, आत्मविश्वास और सही मार्गदर्शन किसी भी बालिका के भविष्य को नई दिशा दे सकते हैं। उन्होंने अभिभावकों से अपनी बेटियों को आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने और उन्हें हर अवसर उपलब्ध कराने का आह्वान किया और कहा कि आज की बालिकाएं कल के सशक्त समाज की आधारशिला हैं और उनमें असीम संभावनाएं निहित हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे कार्यक्रम बालिकाओं में नेतृत्व क्षमता, आत्मनिर्भरता और बड़े सपने देखने का साहस विकसित करते हैं।

स्वपन कुमार मंडल ने बालिकाओं को उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि पिछले 28 दिनों में सभी प्रतिभागियों ने सीखने, अनुशासन, आत्मविश्वास और नेतृत्व क्षमता का उत्कृष्ट परिचय दिया है। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ष 2019 से अब तक एनटीपीसी सीपत में 525 बालिकाएं इस पहल से लाभान्वित हो चुकी हैं और GEM-2026 के साथ यह संख्या और 121 बढ़ गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि कार्यक्रम पूर्ण होने के बाद प्रत्येक वर्ष 10 मेधावी बालिकाओं को बाल भारती पब्लिक स्कूल, एनटीपीसी सीपत में कक्षा 6 से 12 तक निःशुल्क शिक्षा प्रदान की जाती है।

श्रीमती शिखा मंडल, अध्यक्षा, संगवारी महिला समिति ने बालिकाओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि प्रत्येक बालिका में अपनी पहचान बनाने और समाज में सकारात्मक बदलाव लाने की अपार क्षमता है। उन्होंने बालिकाओं से आत्मविश्वास के साथ अपने सपनों का पीछा करने तथा प्रशिक्षण के दौरान प्राप्त सीख को जीवन में अपनाने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि संगवारी महिला समिति की सदस्याओं ने पूरे कार्यक्रम के दौरान बालिकाओं को परिवार के सदस्य की तरह स्नेह और मार्गदर्शन देने का प्रयास किया है।

इस अवसर पर  सुरोजीत सिन्हा, महाप्रबंधक (प्रचालन एवं अनुरक्षण),  अशोक सरकार, महाप्रबंधक (प्रचालन एवं ईंधन प्रबंधन), विकास खरे, महाप्रबंधक (इंजीनियरिंग),  जयप्रकाश सत्यकाम, प्रमुख (मानव संसाधन), संगवारी महिला समिति की वरिष्ठ सदस्याएं, विभागाध्यक्ष, वरिष्ठ अधिकारीगण, यूनियन व असोशिएसन के सदस्य, सरपंच, मीडिया प्रतिनिधि, अभिभावक तथा अन्य गणमान्य नागरिक उपस्थित रहे।

विदित हो कि यह अभियान 15 मई 2026 से प्रारंभ हुआ था। इस दौरान बालिकाओं की दिनचर्या योगाभ्यास से शुरू होती थी, जिसके बाद शैक्षणिक सत्र, अंग्रेजी, गणित, कंप्यूटर शिक्षा, संवाद कौशल, आत्मरक्षा प्रशिक्षण, खेलकूद, संगीत, नृत्य, कला एवं व्यक्तित्व विकास से संबंधित गतिविधियां आयोजित की जाती थीं। बालिकाओं को अनुशासन, समय प्रबंधन, स्वच्छता, नेतृत्व क्षमता और टीम भावना जैसे जीवनोपयोगी मूल्यों से भी परिचित कराया गया।

प्रशिक्षण के दौरान बालिकाओं को कक्षा शिक्षण के साथ-साथ अनेक व्यवहारिक गतिविधियों में शामिल किया गया। महिला कार्यकारी अधिकारियों के साथ संवाद सत्र, करियर मार्गदर्शन कार्यक्रम, प्रेरणादायी व्यक्तित्वों से मुलाकात तथा विभिन्न विषयों पर विशेष कार्यशालाओं के माध्यम से उन्हें भविष्य के अवसरों की जानकारी दी गई। परियोजना प्रमुख सहित वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने भी बालिकाओं से संवाद कर उनका उत्साहवर्धन किया।

इस एक माह के प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के दौरान कई प्रेरणादायी व्यक्तित्वों ने भी बालिकाओं से संवाद किया। जहां आईपीएस श्रीमती अंशिका जैन स्वयं पहुंचकर बालिकाओं को अपने अनुभव साझा करते हुए प्रेरित किया, वहीं भारतीय वायु सेना के ग्रुप कैप्टन एवं अंतरिक्ष यात्री श्री शुभांशु शुक्ला ने वर्चुअल माध्यम से जुड़कर बालिकाओं का उत्साहवर्धन किया। इसके अलावा शिक्षाविदों, उद्यमियों, बैंक अधिकारियों, पर्वतारोही निशा यादव, मीडिया क्षेत्र से जुड़े विशेषज्ञों तथा अन्य अतिथियों ने भी बालिकाओं को विभिन्न क्षेत्रों की जानकारी प्रदान की।

ज्ञानवर्धन गतिविधियों के अंतर्गत अंतरिक्ष विज्ञान पर विशेष सत्र आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें बालिकाओं को ग्रहों, उपग्रहों तथा भारत की अंतरिक्ष उपलब्धियों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई। केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल (फायर) द्वारा अग्नि सुरक्षा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर आग लगने के कारणों, बचाव के उपायों तथा अग्निशमन उपकरणों के उपयोग का व्यावहारिक प्रदर्शन किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त कठपुतली कला कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से स्वच्छता, पोषण, व्यक्तिगत सुरक्षा तथा गुड टच एवं बैड टच जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों को सरल और रोचक तरीके से समझाया गया।

बालिकाओं के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए चित्रकला, क्ले आर्ट, रचनात्मक गतिविधियां, स्वच्छता एवं पर्यावरण संरक्षण कार्यशालाएं, मैजिक शो, खेलकूद प्रतियोगिताएं तथा समूह गतिविधियों का आयोजन भी किया गया। सफारी पार्क भ्रमण, फिल्म प्रदर्शन एवं टीम बिल्डिंग गतिविधियों ने बालिकाओं को सीखने के साथ-साथ आनंद का अवसर भी प्रदान किया। इन गतिविधियों के माध्यम से उनमें रचनात्मकता, नेतृत्व क्षमता, सहयोग की भावना और आत्मविश्वास का विकास हुआ।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान प्रत्येक सप्ताह अभिभावक मिलन कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया, जिससे अभिभावकों को अपनी बेटियों की प्रगति देखने और उनके अनुभव जानने का अवसर मिला। साथ ही बालिकाओं के जन्मदिन भी सभी प्रतिभागियों और अभिभावकों के साथ मनाए गए, जिससे पूरे माह परिसर में एक पारिवारिक वातावरण बना रहा।

उल्लेखनीय है कि एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड द्वारा वर्ष 2018 में प्रारंभ किया गया बालिका सशक्तिकरण अभियान आज देशभर में 13,000 से अधिक बालिकाओं के जीवन में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन का एक प्रभावी माध्यम बन चुका है। एनटीपीसी सीपत में वर्ष 2019 से संचालित यह पहल शिक्षा, आत्मविश्वास, नेतृत्व क्षमता और जीवन कौशल के माध्यम से बालिकाओं को सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में निरंतर कार्य कर रही है तथा भविष्य में भी इसी प्रतिबद्धता के साथ आगे बढ़ती रहेगी।

With Smiles and Tears, Girls Bid Farewell to the Girl Empowerment Mission

The Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2026, organized under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of NTPC Limited at the residential township of NTPC Sipat, concluded on an emotional note on 13 June 2026. The atmosphere at the closing ceremony was filled with emotions. While parents who had arrived to take their daughters home were seen beaming with pride and happiness, the girls, who had spent the last one month together, became emotional while bidding farewell to their friends and mentors.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by Shri Sanjay Agrawal, IAS, Collector, Bilaspur, as the Chief Guest and Shri Swapan Kumar Mandal, BUH, NTPC Sipat, as the Guest of Honour. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. On the occasion, the girls showcased their learning, confidence and talent through cultural performances, skits, group songs and an exhibition of creative works prepared during the training programme.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Agrawal appreciated the Girl Empowerment Mission and said that education, self-confidence, and proper guidance can transform the future of any girl child. He urged parents to encourage their daughters to move forward and provide them with every possible opportunity. He remarked that today’s girls are the foundation of tomorrow’s empowered society and possess immense potential. He further stated that such programmes help develop leadership qualities, self-reliance, and the courage to dream big.

Extending his best wishes to the participants for their bright future, Shri Swapan Kumar Mandal said that over the past 28 days, all participants had demonstrated remarkable learning ability, discipline, confidence, and leadership qualities. He informed that since 2019, a total of 525 girls have benefited from this initiative at NTPC Sipat, and with GEM-2026, another 121 girls have joined this growing legacy. He further stated that after the completion of the programme, 10 meritorious girls are selected every year and provided free education from Class VI to Class XII at Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Sipat.

Addressing the participants, Smt. Shikha Mandal, President of Sangwari Mahila Samiti, said that every girl possesses immense potential to create her own identity and bring positive change to society. She encouraged the girls to pursue their dreams with confidence and apply the lessons learned during the training in their daily lives. She added that members of Sangwari Mahila Samiti had endeavoured to provide affection and guidance to the girls throughout the programme, treating them like members of their own family.

On the occasion, Shri Surojit Sinha, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance); Shri Ashok Sarkar, General Manager (Operation & Fuel Management); Shri Vikas Khare, General Manager (Engineering); Shri Jayprakash Satyakam, Head of Human Resources; senior members of Sangwari Mahila Samiti; Heads of Departments; senior officials; representatives of Unions and Association; village sarpanches; media representatives; parents; and other distinguished citizens were present.

It may be noted that the campaign commenced on 15 May 2026. During the programme, the girls began their day with yoga sessions, followed by academic classes, English, Mathematics, computer education, communication skills, self-defence training, sports, music, dance, art, and personality development activities. They were also introduced to important life values such as discipline, time management, cleanliness, leadership, and teamwork.

In addition to classroom learning, the participants were engaged in various practical and experiential activities. Through interaction sessions with women executives, career guidance programmes, meetings with inspiring personalities, and special workshops on diverse subjects, the girls were exposed to future opportunities and career pathways. Senior officials, including the Project Head, also interacted with the participants and motivated them throughout the programme.

During the month-long training programme, several inspiring personalities also interacted with the girls. IPS officer Smt. Anshika Jain personally visited the programme and motivated the participants by sharing her experiences, while Indian Air Force Group Captain and astronaut Shri Shubhanshu Shukla joined virtually to encourage and inspire the girls. In addition, educationists, entrepreneurs, bank officials, mountaineer Nisha Yadav, media professionals, and other distinguished guests interacted with the participants and provided valuable insights into various career opportunities and fields of achievement.

As part of the knowledge enhancement activities, a special session on space science was organized, introducing the girls to planets, satellites, and India’s achievements in space exploration. CISF (Fire Wing) conducted a fire safety awareness programme, including practical demonstrations on the causes of fire, preventive measures, and the use of firefighting equipment. In addition, a puppet show was organized to explain important topics such as cleanliness, nutrition, personal safety, and good touch and bad touch in a simple and engaging manner.

To ensure the holistic development of the participants, activities such as painting, clay art, creative workshops, cleanliness and environmental awareness sessions, magic shows, sports competitions, and group activities were also organized. Visits to the Safari Park, film screenings, and team-building exercises provided the girls with opportunities to learn while enjoying themselves. These activities played a significant role in enhancing their creativity, leadership qualities, teamwork, and self-confidence.

Weekly parent interaction programmes were organized throughout the campaign, providing parents with an opportunity to observe the progress of their daughters and understand their experiences. Birthdays of the participants were also celebrated with fellow participants and parents, creating a warm and family-like atmosphere throughout the month.

It is noteworthy that the Girl Empowerment Mission, launched by NTPC Limited in 2018, has emerged as a powerful platform for bringing positive change in the lives of more than 13,000 girls across the country. Since its inception at NTPC Sipat in 2019, the initiative has been continuously working towards empowering girls through education, self-confidence, leadership development, and life skills, and will continue to advance with the same commitment in the years to come.
